Current production is primarily dedicated to the Saskatchewan retail, wholesale and restaurant markets but a portion is also directed to markets in British Colombia, Alberta and Manitoba. Star Egg is the largest federally registered egg grading station in Saskatchewan, grading eggs from approximately 60 producers and 800,000 hens each week. Star Egg’s sister company, Harman Poultry Farms Ltd., provides eggs from 89,000 hens housed in two production facilities located near Prince Albert and Humboldt, Saskatchewan. A third facility housing 55,000 birds is located in Steinbach, Manitoba. Star Egg product is marketed through your local retailer under the Harman brand as well as the GoldEgg/Jaune Doré TM/MC brand. Star Egg Company Ltd. has been selected by National Egg Inc. to serve as the regional producer/packer for their value added line of shell egg products traded under the GoldEgg/Jaune DoréTM/MC brand name. Furthermore, Star Egg also distributes specialty processed egg products to institutional, restaurant and wholesale markets. Established in 1966, Star Egg Company Ltd. is a Saskatoon, SK based business, specializing in the grading, distribution and marketing of shell eggs. In the fall of 2008, the company expanded and relocated all administration, production, warehousing, and distribution activities under one 41,000 sq. ft. roof at 1302 Quebec Avenue in Saskatoon.
